As we know history repeats itself, so even though we have had many cool nights, summer will be here in all her glory-and soon.

Get out your calendar now and note all the summer activities that Tidewater has to offer.

Upcoming Events:

Friday, June 1– Happy Hour at the Beach Cabana begins at 6 PM and ending at 8 PM. Everyone should bring his or her own

beverage and an appetizer or dessert for 8 to share. All paper products and cups will be provided by the Recreation Committee.

There’s plenty of parking with our new lot across the street. Come and enjoy socializing with your neighbors.

Sunday, June 10 – June 10 will be the ever-popular pool party-this year being called “POOLpaloOoOza. Live music will be

provided by Fat Jack, and Jasper from A & A Catering will provide the food. It will be summer cookout fare at a cost of just $18

per person. The pool will open for guests at 5:30 PM with food being served at 6 PM. This event is not to be missed so get your

reservation in soon!

Friday, July 6 – Friday night marks the third Beach Cabana Happy Hour, so whip up an appetizer or dessert to share and head

on over for Happy Hour. The evening begins at 6 PM and ends at 8 PM. As always, bring your own beverage with paper supplies

being provided for you. See you there!

Sunday, July 8 – Get ready for a hoppin’ time with Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot performing. This is a great way to end an extended

celebration of the USA with hot dogs and fixings being served at 5:30 PM. The music begins at 6 PM and ends at 8 PM. This

is a free event. Just bring your own chair and beverage and settle in in front of the Amenity Center. In case of rain, do not bring a

chair as the performance will be held in the Amenity Center.

Looking Ahead:

Sunday, August 12 – Mister Fifties music event – subs will be served. The time is 6 PM to 8PM with food at 5:30 PM.

Wednesday, September 5 – Back by popular demand is Ride ‘n Dine. More information to follow, but mark it on your calendar

now.

Friday, September 7 – The last summer Happy Hour at the Beach Cabana of the season. It begins at 6 PM and ends at 8 PM.

Reservation Procedure:

 

Please read below to sign up for an event!

 

YOUR CHECK IS YOUR REGISTRATION: To register for an event, place your check made out to ROTSC in an envelope. On the

 

outside of the envelope include the following: names of all people attending, your phone number and email address. Place the envelope

 

in the gold mail box at the Fitness Center by the advertised cutoff date. There will be a notice on the box if the event is full and a waiting

 

list will be established if necessary.

 

For events where reserved tables are available, payments for a full table of 10 must be included in one envelope. If you are not part of a

 

reserved table, you will be assigned to a table with others. If you are out of town, you may mail your check and information to the

Summer Fun continues with the Third Annual Sea Glass and Pebble Workshop on Monday,

June 18 at the Amenity Center beginning at 12:30 PM. Marylou Convery and Marilyn Drange

will demonstrate ideas incorporating treasures tumbled by the ocean. Cost is $10 to cover

Creating sea glass and pebble art is amazingly simple and fun. Make this your day of the

month to express yourself and unwind!

 

 

Tie Dying with Audrey Poole

Do you remember doing tie dying with friends? Audrey has a variation of this art form for the

Artisan’s June Event. It is called Ice Dying. She will be demonstrating how to ice dye a cotton

t-shirt. You bring the t-shirt, and she will bring the ice and dyes. Join her on Monday, June 25 at

the Amenity Center 12:30 - 2:30 PM. The cost of the workshop is $10. Please RSVP Audrey via
