We say goodbye and sincere thanks to our outgoing member,

Denise Oliphant, who led the Happy Hour subcommittee, and

was lead contact with Captain Harold Wiegel for the inland

waterway boat trips.

 

Upcoming Events:

Friday, April 5 - Happy Hour at the Amenity Center will be a

Trivia Night with dinner at 5 PM and Trivia at 6 PM. Please bring

an appetizer or dessert to share with your table, as well as your

favorite beverage. The Recreation Committee will provide ice,

plates, cups, napkins, and silverware. PLEASE NOTE: This

event is currently SOLD OUT. Trivia Night will be scheduled

again in the near future. It is a popular event so you are

encouraged to sign up as soon as it is announced.

 

Wednesday, April 17 - Tidewater’s popular spring boat trip

returns for a cruise up the inland waterway to Ocean Isle on

Wednesday, April 17, with our own Captain Harold (rain date

Thursday, April 18). PLEASE NOTE: This event is currently

SOLD OUT. There is a wait list at the Fitness Center in case we

have cancellations. Please look for this boat trip to return in

the near future.

 

Friday, May 3 - Save the day for the first Beach Cabana Happy

Hour of the summer season. What a great way to welcome

summer with good food and good friends. Bring a heavy

appetizer or dessert, enough for 8 people to share, plus your

own beverages. Ice, cups, plates and flatware will be provided.

If you have not seen the newly completed parking lot across the

street, try it out. This event kicks off at 6 PM, with food being

served at 6:30 PM and ending at 8 PM.

 

Sunday, May 19 - Tidewater’s first summer outdoor concert

will be on Sunday, May 19, with Harlequin band performing.

This will be a BYO bottle and snacks event (popcorn will be

provided) beginning at 6 PM and ending at 8 PM. This is a free

event, and it is held outside on the horseshoe in front of the

Amenity Center. Bring your own chair.

 

Looking Ahead:

Friday, June 7 - Happy Hour at the Beach Cabana begins at 6

PM and ends at 8 PM.

 

Sunday, June 23 - Helen Ashby and her committee are

planning the Pool Party. It will be called Caribbean Night at

Tidewater. Live music will be provided by Tropical Jammers

performing from 6 - 9 PM and Mission BBQ will provide the

food. There is a change of venue this year to the Community

Pool which will open for guests at 5:30 PM with dinner at 6 PM.

Cost is $18 per person. Please follow the Reservation Procedure

below to sign up.

Please read below to sign up for an event!

 

YOUR CHECK IS YOUR REGISTRATION: To register for an event, place your check made out to ROTSC in an envelope. On the

 

outside of the envelope include the following: names of all people attending, your phone number and email address. Place the envelope

 

in the gold mail box at the Fitness Center by the advertised cutoff date. There will be a notice on the box if the event is full and a waiting

 

list will be established if necessary.

 

For events where reserved tables are available, payments for a full table of 10 must be included in one envelope. If you are not part of a

 

reserved table, you will be assigned to a table with others. If you are out of town, you may mail your check and information to the

Water coloring is back!

Join the Artisans on Monday, April

29 at the Amenity Center from

10 AM until 12 PM for an easy

and fun watercolor tulip tutorial.

It is the perfect project if you are

new to watercolors and feel a bit

intimidated. Marylou Convery will

demonstrate how to draw a tulip,

create gradated washes, layer

watercolors, as well as creating

texture on the tulip. The cost of the

workshop is $10 plus supplies. Please RSVP to Marylou Convery

Tastebuds for Spring 2019

Do you like to eat, laugh and tell true or fake stories while

getting to know your Tidewater community members? Then join

Tastebuds! Tastebuds is an enjoyable informal grouping of 6-9

Tidewater neighbors who do all of the above. Many new and

lasting friendships have commenced via Tastebuds.
