We have welcomed in the New Year, danced with our sweetheart and celebrated with St. Pat’s. So let’s see what is next for our community.

Upcoming Events:

Friday, April 6 - The last indoor Happy Hour of the season happens on Friday, April 6, at the Amenity Center. Join us for a wonderful

evening from 6-8 PM. Come mingle with old friends and meet new folks in Tidewater. Bring an appetizer or dessert to share along with

your own beverages.

Wednesday, April 25– Last year’s boat ride to Ocean Isle was so well received that it is being brought back. We will cruise up the

inland waterway to Ocean Isle on Wednesday, April 25 with our own Captain Harold. We will leave Harborgate Marina (2131 Little River

Neck Road) at 4 PM with boarding beginning at 3:30 PM. Please make your own dinner reservations at either Sharkey’s at 910-579-9177

or Ocean Isle Fish Co. at 910-575-5855 for 5 PM. The ship will return at 6:30 PM. Be sure to bring a sweater or jacket, as it may be cool

on our way home. The cost is just $6 per person for the round-trip boat ride. Reservations can be made for the boat ride by following

the instructions at the end of the Recreation Committee column. Feel free to bring drinks and/or snacks on the boat.

Friday, May 4– Save the day for the first Beach Cabana Happy Hour of the summer season. What a great way to welcome summer

with good food and good friends. Bring a heavy appetizer or dessert, enough for 8 people to share, plus your own beverages. Ice, cups,

plates and flatware will be provided. If you have not seen the newly completed parking lot across the street, try it out. This event kicks

off at 6 PM, with food being served at 6:30 PM and ending at 8 PM.

Saturday, May 5- The Kentucky Derby Party returns to Tidewater. Plan to arrive at the Tidewater Grille at 5 PM. The buffet will be

$15.28 per person ($30.56 per couple) with guests purchasing their own beverages at the Grille Bar. The Tidewater Grille will take

all reservations. You can do this easily by calling 843-913-2412. No payment is due prior to the event. You will receive a bill for

your dinner(s) and beverages at the end of the evening. Each reservation made will include one (1) free ticket for betting. Additional

tickets may be purchased at the rate of $1 for one ticket or $5 for six (6) tickets. In addition, there will be a Derby Hat Contest for both

women and men. So put on your thinking caps and be original! Prizes will be given for both women and men. Lock this one down


Sunday, May 20– Tidewater’s first summer concert will be on Sunday, May 20 with Blackwater Rhythm and Blues performing. This will

be a BYO bottle and snacks event beginning at 6 PM and ending at 8 PM. This is a free event, and it is held on the horseshoe in front of

the Amenity Center. Bring your own chair.

Save the Dates:

Friday, June 1– Happy Hour at the Beach Cabana begins at 6 PM and ends at 8 PM.

Sunday, June 10– Sunday, June 10 will be the pool party. Fat Jack Duo will perform, and Jasper from AA Catering will provide the food.

The pool will open for guests at 5:30 PM with dinner at 6 PM.

Reservation Procedure:


Please read below to sign up for an event!


YOUR CHECK IS YOUR REGISTRATION: To register for an event, place your check made out to ROTSC in an envelope. On the


outside of the envelope include the following: names of all people attending, your phone number and email address. Place the envelope


in the gold mail box at the Fitness Center by the advertised cutoff date. There will be a notice on the box if the event is full and a waiting


list will be established if necessary.


For events where reserved tables are available, payments for a full table of 10 must be included in one envelope. If you are not part of a


reserved table, you will be assigned to a table with others. If you are out of town, you may mail your check and information to the

Wine lovers, this one’s for you!

Join the Artisans on Monday, April 23 at the Amenity Center from 10 AM till 12 Noon and repurpose wine

bottles into creative works of art. Kathy Turnauer will demonstrate interesting ways for decorating bottles.

April 15 to receive the supply list. This is an easy way to unwind and have fun!

Join the Artisans on Monday, April 30 at the Amenity Center from 10 AM till 12 Noon and

learn how to paint a watercolor beach scene. Marylou Convery will demonstrate the weton-

wet technique to achieve beautiful, soft results that mimic the soft lines of water and

sand. This is an easy beginner’s exercise because you can add as many or few details as

you wish. The cost of the workshop is $10 plus supplies. Please RSVP Marylou Convery via
